The Democrat governor of Oregon, John Kitzaber is in trouble because his fiance did consulting work that may have involved steering state contracts to those with whom she consulted. The governor was expected to resign earlier this week, by his own admission, but then suddenly changed his mind. State police are outside his house for unnamed reason, but the presumption is he could be arrested if it has been determined he was involved in the illegal contracts. He should have just resigned a few days ago as he said he would, and avoided this additional burden on the state and himself. If he does not resign here shortly, he could be removed from office and arrested.-Preston Brady III, Mobile Tribune.
