0113-The real issue is not gun control but rather people control

The National Rifle Association has announced it does not believe the U.S. Congress will pass stricter gun laws, particularly in regard to assault weapons, even in the aftermath of the Newtown shooting that claimed the lives of elementary school children. In fact, there seems to be strong support for the NRA position, although many hard-line pro-gun advocates have revisited the controversial subject. The real point of contention has remained the same: would the limiting of gun access stop insane… Continue

1216-No gun control out of control in America

How many guns per individual is enough, and when should any individual who can pass a fingerprint test be allowed to own semi-automatic weapons in America? There are so many valid arguments for owning multiple guns and especially powerful weapons since criminals oftens brandish artillery that will cancel out smaller weapons such as pistols. The truth is no matter how many laws are in place, truely insane criminals will find a way to obtain powerful weapons. However, weapons are still to easy to… Continue

1047-New York City subways closing tonight, New Jersey transit stopping as well

New York City mayor Bloomberg has seen the light since his press conference yesterday and is telling folks, "The storm is coming." He ordered the subway system shut down tonight at 9:00 PM eastern time. New Jersey is doing the same in major cities. Sometimes weather forecasters over-hype the potential danger of a coming storm, preferring to err on the side of just in case - but in the case of Sandy it is becoming increasingly clear the warnings are not hype but the actual truth. 1044- SuperStorm Sandy readies to be injected with baroclinic energy on Monday and strengthen

In the collision one of the bodies of air - the larger, more powerful one, can be injected with super energy. Basically, it sucks up the other mass and makes it one with it. (Image: NASA)…

1043-Hurricane Sandy very likely to strike East Coast around Monday

Although there are several possible scenarios for the path of Hurricane Sandy, the most likely landfall will be along the east coast of the United States. Given the size of the storm - it will spread more than 300 miles out once it interacts with a trough along the east coast - where exactly it makes landfall is not as significant as with a stronger, smaller storm. There is a possibility the storm will collide with a winter storm and create a mix of tropical storm-northeaster. People in…
