0216-Romney doesn't care much for the poor or the rich, his focus is middle-class

Republican front runner Mitt Romney is already treading into dangerous political territory by telling a news outlet he isn't concerned about the poor. He did support the statement by saying the poor have a safety net which he will mend if necessary. He's not concerned about the rich either, but then who is?  Be that as it may, such statements this early in the long, arduous road toward November could prove shaky for the man who has managed to survive in the often vicious race for the GOP nomination. So far it is guessed the winner will run against President Obama since no formidable Democrat has dared yet to step up and challenge the Dewey/JFK/MLK of our epoch. On Mitt though it makes you wonder why he can't just be a president for everyone, and not succumb to the popular and likely true belief that the middle-class in America are as threatened as the Panda on our sometimes troubled landscape. (Photo: Politico.com)
