1023-Glen Coffee Gun Charge Dropped in Florida

Concealed weapon charges in Florida, against former Alabama running back Glen Coffee, have been dismissed. A few weeks ago Coffee was pulled over and a gun was found in the console of his car. The right to own a gun for self-protection is strong in the state of Florida. Although not obvious to the arresting officer, it was later shown Glen Coffee had the gun in his car for self-protection, and stored properly. Gun possession in Florida is legal and without permit if it can be shown the weapon is securely stored.
