New Year's Eve Road Blocks will be the rule this year in the United States and law enforcement are indicating it's okay if everyone in the vehicle is knee-walking drunk
except the driver. Law enforcement aren't concerned with bothering party celebrators who are drunk who are
only passengers in a moving vehicle. They are, however, prepared to arrest and recommend severe conviction of a
driver who is drunk. One man this week was sentenced to 51 years in prison for driving while drunk and causing the death of three other people and permanently injuring another. Local and state laws have become
very much stricter, mainly because of an organization called
Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the first group in the world who called major attention to drunk driving. There is an abundance of teenagers and adults who, apparently convinced by drinking, believe "I can drive." " Hey, I'm not drunk, I only had a "few" drinks." It makes you wonder what these individuals think they have to prove to their small group of friends, and compare that with what could and does happen when drunk drivers are able to control a monster machine, a truck or car.
Drop the ego crap. Get a designated driver. Do the right thing.
Speak up. Your words could be the ones that save a life. Speak your mind, believe in yourself. Happy New Year.
